The project I am designing is situated in Sreemangal, Sylhet, Bangladesh. First of all, I want to talk about how Bangladesh is safer to live in. According to a survey, the country is safer to live in although crime does take place in crowded cities like Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh but it is not same in Sylhet. As Sylhet is the third most populated city in Bangladesh and also the quality of life is better for the low cost of living.
Chart and table of population level and growth rate for the Sylhet, Bangladesh metro area from 1950 to 2023. United Nations population projections are also included through the year 2035.
-The current metro area population of Sylhet in 2023 is 964,000, a 3.88% increase from 2022.
-The metro area population of Sylhet in 2022 was 928,000, a 4.27% increase from 2021.
-The metro area population of Sylhet in 2021 was 890,000, a 4.46% increase from 2020.
-The metro area population of Sylhet in 2020 was 852,000, a 4.67% increase from 2019.
According to worldometers, the population of Bangladesh is increasing every five year by around 0.29% due to increased population. The number of migrants is also increasing every year in a faster rate. The current population of Bangladesh is 169,138,288 as of Wednesday, March 22, 2023, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.
In this graph from a research article, the percantage of real estate, renting and business services growth had been increasing over the years compared to the overall GDP growth.
In this table, tourism rate is increasing which is creating new job opportunities and also affecting the increase of GDP every year and the coming years based on the research of UNWTO.
This is the location where my project is designed to be built and I have marked the place in a blue box. This is situated in Sreemangal, Bangladesh and the most important thing about this location is transportation is really easy and hospital and schools are also available in that area which is a perfect place to live in for my clients.
