Project Sign Off : Zainul Art Museum

Last week, I had project sign off with my tutor for my Art Portfolio Project this term. The sign off went really well as the tutor gave me useful information related to my projects and also answered my queries related to the project.

We looked at some famous museums with expressionist architecture such as Tate Modern Switch House by Herzog & de Meuron and Deutsches Historisches Museum extension. The tutor suggested me to look for a brownfield site on the location I decided for my project especially it would be better if that site is surrounded by some other museums. We also talked about the six 2D designs we need to do for this term final project as I was a bit confused about this topic but he made it clear to me that I need to do six 2D design boards similar to the way I did it for my last term final project.

Moreover, the tutor asked me to do development sketches to improve my drawing skills better than before. I also need to do skills development on software and traditional drawing skills for my concept sketches. Last term, I faced some problems using SketchUp software so I asked for more workshops to learn how to use the tools more efficiently and later on use it on my final project. He also suggested me other software to practice on so that I have backup if I fail to work on that software. I will also research on the artist related to my project and the materials sustainability of my design. I will keep posting on the developments and researches for my project every week.
