What do I know about Architecture?

What should I be doing in my subject area?

- I will be studying Architecture and in this area. In this area, I would concentrate on developing my design skills, learning architectural concepts, and learning how to combine both form and function in buildings as an architecture student. I have to involve myself in practical activities and professional  work on creative projects, and actively participate in remarks. Moreover, it's necessary to stay updated with technological developments and sustainable methods. To gain a comprehensive understanding of architecture, I must work with peers, go to workshops, and ask for advice from professors. All of these challenges will increase my desire to learn and inspire me to develop innovative and effective designs. Therefore, while working, I will get a lot of experience and develop my skills as time passes.

What skills and knowledge do I need for my subject area?

- The most important skill I need for Architecture is knowing how to draw based on perspective and proportions. I need to know about how to find site and prepare site plan, consider demographics of that site area, look into sustainable materials for every project and plan out target market. Besides that, I will require a combination of creativity, knowledge of technology, and critical thinking as a student of architecture. I have to learn how to use SketchUp, CAD and Rhino for architecture design while improving my hand-drawing skills. Moreover, as an architecture student, I need to learn about construction methods, building materials, and sustainable design ideas. To work effectively on projects, I also may develop strong communication and teamwork skills. For an effective architectural education, staying current with the latest developments in the profession is crucial.

 


What jobs can I get by studying in this subject?

-  I can pursue a variety of careers in the professional firms by studying architecture. Among the career options offered are becoming an architect, an architectural designer, or a project manager for construction. I can also look at jobs in landscape architecture, interior architecture, and sustainable design. The industry provides a wide range of chances to influence the built environment by working in teams to design creative and useful spaces for clients and communities.

If I scored myself out of ten, with ten being the highest, how well do I think I know my own subject area?

-  I would say that four out of ten as I have not yet acquired all the software skills and also need to learn about architecture in-depth to improve skills. This whole process will require time and patience until I graduate with good results.
