Advert Practice: Pixlr

I opened Pixlr online and made a fresh canvas for my A3 portrait advert with a white background. I just clicked "Create New," selected "Print" in the presets, added a name, and selected a white background to complete this.

To practice my advert, I downloaded one image from Unsplash; this is that image.

My image was then placed to my canvas. To do this, I first clicked select, then selected all, copied, then went back to the canvas, clicked edit, and last hit paste. Then, because my canvas was larger than my image, I cropped it by selecting the crop tool, adjusting to create a thin border, then pressing the return key when my image was ready.

I made a logo with Tailor Brands. Since it is a perfume brand from Chanel, my business is called Chanel Perfume. This is the result at the end.

I copied the Tailor Brands logo, opened it in Pixlr, uploaded it, and then used the move tool to position it in the bottom left corner. Additionally, I decreased the opacity by selecting the layer, the three dots, and the slider from the right-hand layers box.

I added a text layer by selecting the text tool in the right-hand menu, changed the font to Carvino 98pts, changed the color to light brown, and enlarged it to make it stand out on my advert using the text tools in the top menu.

This is my final advert.

Reflection: While this is a exercise, I'll make the text on the image easier to see and come up with a classier tagline and a better logo for my product in the actual advert.
