First Thoughts!

The set project is focused on three themes such as Purple Haze, Earthly Delights or Expressionism. I will talk about what I think about these themes below;

IDEA BEHIND THESE THEMES

Starting with the first theme which was first discussed in the class was Purple Haze and I thought that if I chose this theme then everything I draw should have purple color theme which literally made me thought of never choosing these theme for my final set project this term. But that was not the case, I was completely wrong to think that as the tutor explained the theme later on, it was totally different so if an example is given purple haze could be a theme for fashion design focusing on the 60s style of clothes as back then 'Purple Haze' song by Jimi Hendrix was really famous. This vintage Sativa, which was named after the classic Jimi Hendrix song, offers a virtually psychedelic high. Cannabis of the Purple Haze kind is a psychedelic Sativa flower. This cerebral plant, which has a berry flavor and a lot of THC, works as a natural headache cure.

Next, we were looking into Earthly Delight which is something that is closely related to my progression route and I had already done a project with this last term so, I was not thinking to work on the same theme again and try something different this term. Talking about these theme makes me think of sustainable and earthly materials which are low on budget and can be easily sourced within the project area. Moreover, reversible design also can be used for these theme as buildings can be deconstructed and their components can be used again to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

Lastly, we were talking about Expressionism which I liked a lot and these term, I wanted to do something different and expressionism is that where the work itself will express something. I want to design something that highly expresses the idea behind its work and it can be anything such as using different colors, materials and especially the main idea of the design.

I think expressionism will help me to express my ideas and I have not still thought of that many final ideas but I am still working on my ideas to design my project and I will keep updating my ideas throughout the project.
