One-Point Perspective : Interior of a Student Room
One kind of linear perspective is one point perspective. In a horizontal piece of art, linear perspective creates the appearance of space and form by using lines to depict objects. It is a structured method of drawing. One point perspective, which only uses one vanishing point, earns its name.
The image below is an one-point perspective drawing done by me;
As One Point Perspective is not just for simple shapes and structures. Using these method I drew in class, I used it to sketch interiors. Although it's unlikely that the finished drawing would show it, a horizon line is defined. The horizon line is marked with a vanishing point before the simplest shapes are drawn. Then, I drew a rectangle box around it taking some measures. To define the shape of the items extending towards the single vanishing point, orthogonal are drawn.
From that one vanishing point, every diagonal lines passes and shapes different objects and it can be confusing at times to draw curves as it is also necessary to consider the vanishing point every time. Moreover, it was a quite exciting task to do as I learnt how to draw an interior space using a perspective and it will be quite helpful for me in the future.

This should have been posted in Week 5 and I am not sure why it wasn't. How did this help you to understand how to use one point perspective?
